Join Presumpscot Regional Land Trust for the opening of Rivermeadow Nature Preserve, Saturday, September 13th, 10am - noon.
Rivermeadow Nature Preserve was conserved in 2023 with support from over 200 supporters. The Preserve consists of 3,300 feet of Presumpscot River shoreline and 44 acres of forested wetlands, some of the only remaining wetlands near downtown Westbrook. The shoreline, wetlands, and forest provide essential habitats for hundreds of species of migrating birds, pollinators, reptiles, and amphibians.
Celebrate the opening of Rivermeadow’s new trail system with us! We’ll kick off with a welcome and short speaking program, then invite you to explore the preserve at your own pace. Along the way, PRLT volunteers will be on hand at key spots to answer questions and highlight what makes this place special.
When: Saturday, September 13, 2025, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
