CANCELED - Due to Rain
Join the Presumpscot Regional Land Trust and volunteer hike leader Natalie Skovran for a guided walk during the annual alewife migration at Mill Brook Preserve in Westbrook. *Due to an early alewife migration this year, we are offering this bonus alewife walk.
This 2.5-mile loop hike will follow the path of the migrating alewives along Mill Brook, heading to the southern viewing pool and returning on the opposite side of the trail. This will be a continuous hike with fewer stops, however, we’ll make stops to observe the fish as they migrate up the Brook.
Please note: The trail includes uneven and hilly terrain. Sturdy footwear is recommended.
All are welcome to register and learn about the alewife and the important role they play in our environment. Parking is limited and information will be shared with registered participants.
