Join us, Portland Trails, and Friends of the Presumpscot River to celebrate World Fish Migration Day and Earth Day with a spring walk to Presumpscot Falls led by USM Professor Theo Willis. While the fish will not migrate up the Presumpscot River until May, Theo will share the history of fish migration and dam removal at Presumpscot Falls. This will be a two hour walk over mostly flat terrain with plenty of time to view the falls. Please note that alewife are not expected to be part of this migration event, and we will still be holding our annual alewife event on Saturday, June 2nd (see below).
