flyfishingfromfriendsSaturday June 4, 2016 at 2pm
Little River Preserve, Gorham

Learn the basics of fly fishing and trout stream ecology . Presumpscot Regional Land Trust and Sebago Chapter of Trout Unlimited invite you to join Professional Maine Guide Patrick O’Shea for an on-site seminar of fly fishing information and demonstrations. In this two-hour seminar, Patrick will go over fly fishing gear, life cycle of trout stream flies and fly selection, “reading” the water, trout stream ecology, and basic fly fishing casts. You will also get the inside scoop on nearby trout waters that you can access on the Presumpscot Regional Land Trust’s Preserves. Fly fishing is as much about enjoying and caring for the river and the natural environment as it is about catching fish, and the skills and knowledge required to get started can be quite simple. If you have ever wondered what the fuss is about with fly fishing, please join us for this informative afternoon. The event is free, but space is limited, RSVP required.
