Head of the Presumpscot River, Standish

Join us for a guided walk to learn about prehistoric cultures that lived along the Presumpscot River and see some of the pottery, stone tools, and other remains that have been found and studied by Archeologists. This guided walk will be led by Nate Hamilton, Professor of Archaeology at USM, and Dick Doyle, Trustee with the Maine Archaeological Society . This will be a special opportunity to visit our 50 acre Stuart Preserve and see the remains that have been collected from the outlet of Sebago Lake and the beginning of the Presumpscot River.
